307 Filipino safely return home from Italy and Portugal

With the arrival of 201 seafarers from Spain on April 4, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) completed and welcomed yet another set of Filipino repatriates comprising of 185 seafarers onboard MSC Splendida docked in Genoa, Italy, and 122 seafarers onboard MSC Fantasia docked in Lisbon, Portugal.

This repatriation was made possible by the joint efforts of the DFA, through the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Health (DOH), and Philippine Transmarine Carriers, Inc., the local manning agency.

All 307 Filipino repatriates underwent the necessary medical protocols as required by DOH-Bureau of Quarantine.
