ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Worldbex Services International (WSI) officially opened Iloilo Trio 2026 with a grand Opening Ceremony at the Iloilo Convention Center (ICON), signaling the start of four days of innovation, business opportunities, and industry collaboration. Bringing together PHILBEX Iloilo, MAFBEX Iloilo, and TLEX Iloilo under one platform, the event welcomes exhibitors, professionals, entrepreneurs, association partners, and visitors from across the country to experience the latest developments in construction, food and beverage, travel, leisure, and allied industries.
The ceremony was hosted by Angela Tan, who welcomed the distinguished guests and attendees before the program formally commenced. This was followed by the Opening Remarks delivered by Ms. Jill Aithnie Ang, WSI Managing Director, who formally welcomed the participants and emphasized the significance of the event in fostering collaboration and advancing opportunities for the region’s creative and business sectors.
Messages of support were then delivered by IDR. Lorenzo Valencia III, Vice President of the Philippine Institute of Interior Design (PIID); Dir. Lady Julie Grace “Love-Love” Baronda, Vice Mayor of Iloilo City; and Hon. Raisa Maria Lourdes S. Treñas-Chu, Mayor of Iloilo City. Each speaker highlighted the importance of strengthening regional industries through innovation, collaboration, and shared opportunities while reaffirming their support for initiatives that contribute to the economic growth of Western Visayas.
The program concluded with the keynote address on behalf of Hon. Gov. Arthur R. Defensor Jr., Governor of Iloilo Province, delivered by Ms. Aulynn B. Yue Sin, ENP, Provincial Tourism Officer and Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Center. The keynote message underscored the provincial government’s commitment to promoting sustainable tourism, supporting local industries, and fostering inclusive economic development through strong partnerships among government, business, and the creative sector.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the symbolic ribbon-cutting, officially declaring the exhibition open. Following the ceremonial opening, guests toured the exhibition floor, where leading brands and companies showcased innovative products, technologies, equipment, and services through interactive exhibits, product demonstrations, networking activities, and business engagements.
