Mama Sita Launches Mini-Docus on the Food of Our Ancestors

Philippine Association of Condiments Producers, Inc. and Mama Sita Foundation launched on 18 March 2021 Pagkain Natin!, a ten-part mini-documentary series about the food of our ancestors from at least 500 years ago or earlier. Conceptualized and written by food historian Felice Prudent Sta. Maria, the project is in solidarity with the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines.

The launching coincided with the 500th anniversary of the Humanity at Homonhon on 18 March 2021. All the documentaries will be streamed by the Radio-Television Malacañang until 28 October 2021 on the Facebook pages of the National Quincentennial Committee and Mama Sita’s Mga Kwentong Pagkain. In 2021, we will commemorate the Philippine part in the achievement of science and humankind in circumnavigating the planet for the first time. Central in this commemoration is the 500th anniversary of the Victory at Mactan on 27 April 2021. These and more are collectively known as the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines by virtue of Executive Order No. 103 (2020). Know more about the event here:
