Calling Filipino Makers: HABI Opens Vendor Applications for the 16th Likhang HABI Market Fair

HABI: The Philippine Textile Council is now accepting applications from new vendors for the 16th Likhang HABI Market Fair, happening on October 9–11, 2026 at SPACE One Ayala, Makati City. The annual fair continues its commitment to promoting Philippine handwoven textiles and handcrafted products while providing artisans, designers, social enterprises, and creative entrepreneurs with a platform to reach a wider market.

For over a decade, the Likhang Habi Market Fair (LHMF) has become one of the country’s most anticipated celebrations of Philippine textile heritage, craftsmanship, and design innovation. Every year, it brings together a diverse community of weavers, makers, and brands that transform indigenous and locally produced fibers into products that reflect the richness of Filipino culture and creativity.

HABI welcomes applications from groups, communities, coops, family, small and medium-scale enterprises of products that feature Philippine natural fibers and handwoven textiles such as piña, abaca, locally grown cotton, inabel, and other traditional fabrics from weaving communities across the country. The organization seeks vendors whose work embodies quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, sustainability, and respect for the country’s rich weaving traditions.

Through the years, HABI has championed greater market exposure for brands that celebrate the beauty and fine craftsmanship of Filipino fabrics. Many participants who began as grassroots enterprises have expanded into medium-scale businesses and established brands, while others have successfully entered international markets through the visibility and opportunities created by the fair. By connecting artisans and entrepreneurs directly with consumers, collectors, retailers, designers, and advocates of Philippine crafts, the event has helped strengthen appreciation for locally made products and contributed to the continued growth of the country’s creative industries.

As it marks its 16th edition, the LHMF aims to enrich the diversity of the fair by welcoming new exhibitors from across the Philippines. Whether representing an established weaving community, a social enterprise, an emerging design label, or an innovative artisan collective, qualified vendors are encouraged to become part of an event that celebrates excellence in Filipino handmade artistry while supporting the preservation and continued evolution of the country’s textile traditions.

Aside from individual vendor booths, HABI also mounts a dedicated HABI Booth that features products from weaving communities and small enterprises that may not yet have the resources to participate independently in the fair. Through this shared exhibition space, HABI provides sponsored market exposure, giving talented artisans and grassroots producers the opportunity to present their work to buyers, collectors, designers, and the general public. The initiative reflects HABI’s continuing commitment to making the LHMF an inclusive platform that celebrates exceptional Filipino craftsmanship, regardless of an enterprise’s size or location. Beyond being a marketplace, the LHMF serves as a venue where stories of culture, heritage, and creativity are shared through every handcrafted product. It is a unique opportunity for makers to showcase their work, build valuable partnerships, and connect with an audience that values authenticity, sustainability, and Filipino craftsmanship.
