Eat Bulaga signs anew with GMA Network

TAPE Inc. and GMA Network officially sealed the renewal of their blocktime agreement for the airing of hit noontime show, Eat Bulaga, in a contract signing held on February 1.

“Pang 24th year na namin ngayon sa GMA,” said TAPE Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Antonio P. Tuviera. “Nagpapasalamat kami dahil GMA ang nagbigay sa amin ng tahanan. At hindi lang ‘yun, pati na rin ng pagkakataon na mai-celebrate ang 40th anniversary namin ngayong taon.”

The Eat Bulaga Dabarkads—Senator Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon, Jimmy Santos, Anjo Yllana, Ruby Rodriguez, Allan K., Pauleen Luna-Sotto, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, Pia Guanio, Luanne Dy, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Baeby Baste, Maureen Wroblewitz, Maine Mendoza, and Alden Richards together with TAPE Inc.’s SVP and COO Malou Choa-Fagar, SVP Production Creative and Operations Jenny P. Ferre, AVP Production Helen Atienza-Dela Cruz, AVP Production-Studio Operation Sheila Macariola-Ilacad, Director Poochie Rivera—came in full force to witness yet another momentous event.

GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon expressed his admiration for the show and its hosts, “Ako’y talagang hangang-hanga dito sa grupo ng Eat Bulaga na walang kupas, kaya matagal pa ito. ‘Yang tandem nina Tito, Vic, at Joey, at ‘yung mga susunod, mahabang-mahaba pa ang itatakbo ng programang ito.”

Meanwhile, GMA Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalongis happy for Eat Bulaga’s continued success.  “Tayo’y natutuwa dahil nag-sign up ulit sa atin ang Eat Bulaga. It’s an exciting show, it’s the longest continuous running show in the world with the original hosts, Tito, Vic, and Joey. We’re very happy that they continue to be with the Kapuso Network,” he shared.

Also present during the contract signing were GMA’s First Vice President for Program Management Jose Mari R. Abacan, and Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angela Javier Cruz.
