New Quincentennial lecture features the Ancient Philippine Boats

Spanish accounts and archival sources are rich in Philippine maritime documentation such as on boats. This will be the topic of the 12th Quincentennial Lecture Series on 5 November 2020, Thursday, 10 am, with Dr. Maria Bernadette Abrera, Dean of the UP College of Social Sciences and Philosophy Diliman. The Quincentennial Online Lecture Series Live aims to diversify discussions about the 500th anniversary of the Victory at Mactan, the Philippine part in the first circumnavigation of the world, and other related events in 1521, collectively known as the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines (2021 QCP) per Executive Order No. 103 (2020).
