Migration Advocacy and Media Award recipient visits Patikim! The Art of Hospitality Visual Art Exhibit

Jennifer Fergesen, recipient of Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) Award.

Jennifer Fergesen, a Filipino-American writer based in California who received a Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) Award, visited Patikim! The Art of Hospitality Visual Art Exhibit last December 16, 2019 which was organized by Mama Sita Foundation. The art exhibit opened its doors to the public last December 9, 2019 to December 19, 2019 at the Art Center, Level 4 of SM Megamall Building A.

Fergesen won for her globe-trotting food journalism project – The Global Carinderia at the Diamond Hotel in Manila Bay. The MAM Awards are conferred annually by the Commission for Filipinos Overseas (CFO), an agency of the government of the Philippines.
The Visual Art Exhibit was done to honor the roots of Filipino food, agriculture and hospitality – which featured paintings and sculptures by Filipino Artists, curated by Sarah Alcantara.

Together with the Art Gallery Circle, Mama Sita inaugurated the exhibit to help foster
