Recognizing the need to elevate the standard of safety and security in the country, the World of Safety and Security Expo or simply WOSAS is back on its third year for another compelling presentation. Committed to consistency, attendees of this year’s expo can expect to find no less than a diverse product profile and an extensive array of product and service innovations that will ensure the wellbeing of communities and industries.
Proving to be the dynamic trade show that it is, WOSAS will also be hosting pocket events and activities that all aim to encourage the productive exchange of knowledge. Among these show highlights is the first-ever SecuCon, a series of free seminars that seeks to provide show attendees, stakeholders, and beneficiaries with a venue to enhance and disseminate relevant information about the industry.
For its first edition, the SecuCon will be touching on topics that focus on fire safety and earthquake preparations. The objective of the seminar theme is to raise awareness about the value of disaster preparedness especially among commercial personnel and the general public. The SecuCon 2019 is free and open to the public and will happen on September 27 to 28 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. Registrations for SecuCon will be available from 11:00am to 12:30pm on both days of the seminars.
On September 27, the seminars will kick off with a talk on pre-emergency preparedness by Lifecast International Corporation’s Director Eric Yam at 1:00 to 2:30pm. At 2:45 to 4:15pm, Crime Safety Specialist Shamir Rajadurai will be discussing Corporate Security and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design. Ending day’s line-up of seminars, Ernyros Manlangit will be shedding light on criminal behavior.
On September 28, the first seminar will be “The Changing Role of Security” by Col. Mateo Luga PA (RET) at 1:00pm to 2:30pm. At 2:45 to 4:15, CSSMAP President Michael Angelo Datuin will offer his insights on the “Importance of Security and Safety”. Finally, capping off the SecuCon will be CSSMAP Vice President Engr. Eulogio Reyes’ “Importance of Safety”.
