PH Embassy, Consulates General in Australia Plan for 75th PH-Australia, 35th PH-Vanuatu Relations Annivs in 2021

Canberra – Ambassador to Australia and non-resident Ambassador to Vanuatu Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega hosted the annual Team Philippines Australia Consultative Meeting in Canberra on 01–02 April 2019.

The meeting brought together the Embassy and the Consulates General in Australia under the one-country team approach, where they discussed the Philippines’ plans leading up to the 75th Anniversary of Philippines-Australia relations and 35th Anniversary of Philippines-Vanuatu relations, both in 2021.

A new element to the annual consultations was the engagement with a known expert to enhance team operations. Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s (DFAT) Chief Innovation Officer Dr. Sarah Pearson shared her experience with “InnovationXchange”, a program by the DFAT on institutionalizing innovation in foreign service operations.
