Department of Foreign Affairs caps off Good Friday with repatriation of Filipinos from Portugal

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) concluded its 11th consecutive day of repatriation by welcoming 16 Filipinos from Lisbon, Portugal.

The 16 OFWs who work as crew members of the Mystic Cruises’ MS World Explorer.

North Sea Marine Services Corporation, the local manning agency of the cruise ship made the arrangements for the repatriation efforts in close coordination with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon.

Representatives of OWWA, Department of Health, Bureau of Quarantine and Manila International Airport Authority, also joined in welcoming home the overseas Filipinos.

As required, the Filipinos are to undergo the appropriate medical protocols installed by the DOH and BOQ such as the necessary quarantine.
