More healthcare workers needed in Japan

The government hiring facility of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) continues to accept applications to fill up the 32 nurses (Kangoshi) and 401 careworkers (Kaigofukushishi) needed by the Japan International Corporation of Welfare Services (JICWELS).

Interested applicants as nurse must have a bachelor’s degree in Nursing with active PRC License and a minimum of three-year work experience in hospital.

The applicant must be also committed to work and study as candidate for “Kangoshi” to obtain a National License in Japan.

Meanwhile, applicants for careworkers must have a bachelor’s degree in Nursing (with or without license) or graduate of four year-course but with TESDA National Certificate II in caregiving.

All candidates are required to undergo 12 months of intensive Japanese Language Training before working, six months of which will be for intensive Preparatory Japanese Language Training in the Philippines, and the other six months for intensive Japanese Language Training in Japan.

Applicants with Japanese Language Proficiency Training Certificate (JLPT N4) will be exempted in the JLPT in the Philippines, but are expected to acquire JLPT N5 level upon completion of the language training.

Applicants with JLPT N3 or N2 or have experience in studying the Japanese language in Japanese Language Training Institution designated by the Ministry of Justice in Japan, will be exempted in the JLPT both in the Philippines and Japan.

To apply, qualified candidates first need to register online at
http://onlineservices.poea.gov.ph/OnlineS…/POEAOnline.aspx and personally submit the necessary documents at the Manpower Registry Division, Ground Floor, Blas F. Ople Bldg. (formerly POEA Bldg.), Ortigas Avenue corner EDSA, Mandaluyong City on their respective schedule of appointment.

The necessary requirements for submission are the following:
– Detailed resumé with one (1) piece 2×2 recent picture
– Clear photocopies of:
– Transcript of Records
– College Diploma
– Updated Certificate of Employment, if applicable
– Japanese Language Training Certificate, if available
– Valid TESDA NCII Certificate in Caregiving (if not BS Nursing Graduate)
– Valid Passport (6 months from the date of scheduled departure)
– Valid NBI Clearance (multi-purpose)
– PEOS Certificate
– Printed copy of Worker’s Information Sheet/E-Registration

All documents must be fastened in a folder labeled with RSF No. 210006, Applicant’s Name, Position Applied For, Country of Destination, E-Registration Number.

All are required to present their original documents for authentication of written information before forwarding the resume to the employer.

Deadline of submission of applications from POEA Regional Offices is on July 28, 2021, and on July 30, 2021 for the applicants from the Central Office (POEA – Ortigas).
