DTI-Switzerland hosts online cooking contest

In celebration of the Philippine Independence Day, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Bern is holding an online cooking contest entitled #LeckerPhilippines as a toast to Philippine cuisine.

Five Filipino-Swiss chefs and cooks in Switzerland share their favorite Filipino recipes. Interested participants simply choose any recipe, cook it, take a picture or video, post in Instagram or Facebook, and get a chance to  win a box full of Philippine goodies. The contest is open to Filipinos and more importantly to local Swiss people. The chefs and cooks featured recipes that use easy-to-find ingredients but incorporate unique Filipino tastes and food techniques.

The contest runs from 1-30 June. Five winners will be chosen weekly, or one winner for each recipe. Criteria for judging is 50% effort / execution and 50% overall presentation. The panel of judges are the chefs / cooks themselves.
