More OFWs repatriated from Africa and Middle East

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) continued its critical missions for bringing home Filipinos all around the World, this time repatriating Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from Mozambique and Qatar at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Friday, April 17.

Among the arrivals were OFWs belonging to Toa Corporation, Penta Ocean Construction, and Gulf Turbo Services. This repatriation was facilitated by the DFA-Office of Migrant Workers’ Affairs, in coordination with the Philippine Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, as well as the Philippine Embassy in Doha, Qatar.

Several government agencies were represented by the tireless public servants who received our OFWs, namely the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Department of Health (DOH), Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), Department of Transportation (DoTr), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

The repatriates underwent the appropriate airport medical protocols and checks conducted by the DOH-BOQ.
