True to its value of service, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) welcomed a third batch of repatriates from Frankfurt, Germany. Sixteen crew members of cruise ship Amadea arrived at NAIA Terminal 1 at 3:23 p.m on April 5.
To date, they were among the now over 4,300 seafarers repatriated by the Philippine Government since the COVID-19 outbreak.

The repatriation was a joint effort of the DFA, through the Philippine Embassy in Berlin and the Philippine Consulate-General in Frankfurt, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and local manning agency BSM CSC Philippines. The Bureau of Quarantine provided health screening at points of entry.

This was in line with the whole-of-government approach in ensuring the safe return of our overseas Filipinos amid the challenging times.
