Philippine Consulate General Conducts Consular Outreach in Toronto

TORONTO 09 October 2018 — To allow Filipinos to exercise their right to suffrage, the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto continued its one country team outreach within the city of Toronto on 29 to 30 September 2018.

A total of 268 Filipinos registered for the 2019 mid-term elections, and over 200 were assisted by the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). The Consulate General also conducted consular information session and benefits update for SSS, Pag-IBIG and OWWA members

For the duration of the overseas registration period from 01 December 2016 to 30 September 2018, a total of 13,500 Filipinos in Ontario and Manitoba were able to register through the Consulate General.
