The most drastic growth was in the Purchase/Logistics/Supply Chain profession with a whopping 46% year-on-year growth, followed by Finance & Accounts with a 38% rise.
Healthcare professions recorded a 29% increase in demand, and while this is 7 points less than October’s 26% annual growth rate, they were most in-demand on a six-month basis.
Other notable professions such as Marketing & Communications, Customer Service and Hospitality & Travel clocked in growth numbers of 25%, 24% and 13%, between November 2017 and 2018.
“The Department of Labour and Employment (DOLE) recently revealed an upswing in the Philippines’s employment landscape with 800,000 new jobs created this year. The consistently positive uptrend in online hiring recorded by the Monster Employment Index over the last few years is in line with this,” said Abhijeet Mukherjee, CEO of Monster.com – APAC and Middle East.
“As the Filipino government continues its efforts to attract investments in HRD, Research & Development, Finance and Infrastructure, hiring outlook looks positive, especially for related occupations.”
