Pacquiao returns to the boxing world.

After winning a 12-round unanimous decision against Timothy Bradley Jr. last April this year, Filipino boxing champion and now Senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao shocked the world with his retirement to focus on his political career and philanthropic work.

Yet, through the passing days and months thereafter, the eight-time division champion isn’t about to hang up his gloves just yet. After a brief vacation from the boxing world, Pacquiao fights inside the ring once again.

His long-time boxing promoter Bob Arum has announced that Pacquiao’s boxing career will continue on November 5, 2016. Pacquiao will fight the American World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title holder Jessie Vargas at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Vargas has a record of 27 wins, one loss, and 10 knockouts. He won via TKO against his previous opponent, Sadam Ali, last March this year.

With a career record of 58 wins and 66 fights, Pacquiao was elected just last May 2016 as part of the Philippine Senate and made it clear that if ever he decided to fight again, he will assure that it will never affect his responsibilities to the government.

Determined to prove his promise that boxing won’t interfere with his legislative duties, Pacquiao’s camp said his training will be almost entirely done in the Philippines, adding that he will only fly to the United States when the Upper House takes a break in mid-October.

Boxing fans will also get to see “The Filipino Flash” take the stage prior to the Pacquiao-Vargas card.

Filipino-American boxer, Nonito Donaire Jr. will defend his crown against Magdaleno after reclaiming the WBO super bantamweight title last December, following a unanimous verdict over Cesar Juarez.

Earlier this April, he defended his belt after coming off a TKO (Technical Knockout) win Hungarian Olympian Zsolt Bedak in the third round.

On the other hand, Magdaleno has a 23-0 professional record with 17 of his wins coming by way of knockout. In his latest match, Magdaleno knocked out Pinoy boxer Rey Perez in the seventh round. His fight with Donaire will be his first shot at a world title.

With two internationally-renowned Filipino boxing champions fighting in the same event, the occasion is no doubt something spectacular for all Filipinos worldwide and back at home in the Philippines.
