For its 24th year, the World Building and Construction Expo, or simply WORLDBEX 2019, is setting the benchmarks higher with another groundbreaking trade presentation. Armed with the grit to usher in “A World Built Bolder”, this year’s show pays tribute to industry leaders who have boldly dedicated their craft in improving communities throughout the country.

To officially open the highly-anticipated expo, a grand opening ceremony was held at the venue lobby. In attendance during the program were representatives of guests of honor DPWH USec. Catalina Cabral, DTI Asec. Angelo Taningco and HLURB CEO Atty. Lloyd Christopher Lao together with Worldbex Services International’s (WSI) Founding Chairman Joseph Ang, Co-Founder Levi Ang, Executive Director Arch. Francisco Flameño Jr., Managing Director Jill Ang, and Directors Rene Ramos and Tessie Roque.

Bringing together only the finest and most influential players in the field – from architects, engineers, interior designers and key decision makers to construction companies, design firms, manufacturers, and stakeholders – this year’s WORLDBEX presses on with its mission to contribute to the continuous development of the industry. With this, visitors can definitely expect a wide range of features and event highlights that are all aimed at improving the quality of life of Filipino communities.

Dynamic displays and intensified global reach

Simultaneously held at the World Trade Center and the SMX Convention Center, this year’s show boasts of a 33,000sqm exhibition space that houses the widest array of construction and design products as well as services from over 700 local and international exhibitors. To be exact, there are 1,500 booths along with various associations and embassies that are present at this year’s WORLDBEX. Furthermore, as WORLDBEX continues to strengthen its ties between the local and international sector, 16 countries are participating in this year’s show including China, India, Czech Republic, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand, Spain, Denmark, Italy, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan, and the US. Indeed, WORLDBEX emerges as a prime venue for industry professionals and investors alike who are seeking to expand their B2B opportunities on a domestic and international scale.

Apart from showcasing the widest array of product and service displays, WORLDBEX has gained a reputation for mounting event highlights that serve as compelling sources of innovative trends and pioneering ideas. For insights into the future of design, WORLDBEX, visitors are invited to explore the Interior Designer’s Gallery, the Architect’s Gallery, City of Tomorrow and the Mañosa exhibit. Meanwhile, everyone is encouraged to watch out for the inter-school competition, Projéto Manila Design Competition.

Knowledge and innovation in one mega expo

As an advocate of continued learning, WORLDBEX is proud to host a series of pocket events that are meant foster innovative excellence and provoke meaningful dialogue among industry professionals. With topics ranging from the latest trends in construction and design all the way to the most pressing issues faced by the urban community, WORLDBEX Seminars are CPD-accredited for architects, engineers, interior designers, and other peers in the industry. Meanwhile, the WORLDBEX MiniCon is a one-day seminar hosted by a handful of the supporting associations at this year’s show.

This year’s WORLDBEX Lab also returns with another range of outstanding product innovations from this year’s crop of exhibitors. Visitors will likewise be thrilled to know that the WORLDBEX app has been updated with the latest technology to enable them to navigate through the expo with efficiency and comfort.
