PH Ambassador Presents Credentials to Uruguayan President

Montevideo  Ambassador to Argentina Linglingay F. Lacanlale, together with 10 other Ambassadors, presented her credentials as non-resident Ambassador to Uruguay to Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez Rosas at the historic Suarez y Reyes Presidential Mansion in Montevideo, Uruguay on April 3, 2019.

In his address to the Ambassadors, President Vazquez spoke of the importance of getting to know each other, as a way to strengthen international fraternity and trust. He emphasized that all action must redound to the benefit of the people.

After the presentation of credentials, the Ambassadors joined President Vazquez, Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa, and Secretary of the Presidency Mr. Miguel Angel Toma, for a toast.

The Philippines and Uruguay established diplomatic relations on 29 December 1975.
