Maintaining business momentum in a pandemic

Santa Rosa, Laguna—The Negosyo Center seeks to serve as a support system to nurture and facilitate the growth of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The business sector faced an unexpected and damaging Covid-19 Pandemic which halted their major operations. Business experts are working on a solution to know the extent of the damage and how to rectify it. It is not known when the pandemic will end and small business owners need to adapt to the new normal. Small business owners need to create new strategies to maintain their business up and running. Thus, a webinar on maintaining business momentum in a pandemic was conducted to create a path for ideas and innovations to support small businesses to continue its growth and equip business owners with the tools they need during a pandemic.

Mr. Nicanor Satur Jr. served as the Resource Speaker for the said webinar. He is the President of Satur Events Management and Marketing Solutions. He is a Business Consultant, public speaker and trainer. As a Revenue Optimizer consultant, he has guided authors, public speakers, politicians, businesses and professionals to increase sales and achieve their business goals by helping them identify the best marketing, branding and social media strategies.

Satur, Jr. opened the seminar lecture by discussing the current effect of the pandemic to the entirety of the business sector and how many small business owners are forced to close their business. He updated the participants on the latest news about the status of the business sector here in the Philippines. Although the Philippine government allowed many MSMEs to operate in 100% capacity, several business industries are still below 100% due to the fear of the pandemic.

Furthermore, Satur, Jr. gave his insights and knowledge on how to make sure that our MSMEs are equipped with the right tools and knowledge to continue moving forward and face the new normal for their businesses. The discussion focused on the seven (7) essentials on how to maintain business momentum. MSMEs must keep up with the latest information, mobilize business continuity protocols, review operational risks, evaluate their supply chain, implement flexible working arrangement, employee wellness, and provide measures and prevention on how to beat the virus. Satur, Jr. also added some marketing tips and strategies amidst the pandemic to provide additional support to the topic.

The seminar properly ended with an open forum for the participants to clarify some concepts and to share their experience/learnings.
