The Philippine Consulate General in Istanbul released 44 passports out of 93 endorsed by the Philippine Embassy in Ankara on 22 March 2020, at the lobby of the Kanyon Office Building in Istanbul where the Philippine Consulate General holds a temporary office.
Several Filipino applicants reported that they needed the passports urgently for the renewal of their permits in Turkey.
A total of 49 passports remain with the Consulate General for release. The Consulate General announced that another special passport distribution will be held on 05 April 2020 from 1000H to 1200H.
