The Philippines Department of Tourism (DOT in Frankfurt, Germany)  hosted the launching of the Philippine Fruit Festival in Hamburg, in partnership with the  local Hamburg chain MAD about Juice.

The Festival,  which runs through  the whole month of November 2021, features a special Philippine smoothie/ juice variant – called Bohol Beach – highlighting  Philippine fruits and ingredients such as mango, coconut water, pineapple and banana.  Bohol Beach will be sold across the three stores of MAD about Juice in Hamburg.

Exclusively invited to the event were bloggers and influencers from the fields of travel, lifestyle, food, fitness and fashion,  who will feature the Philippines through social media.

The event was co-hosted by DOT-Frankfurt Head Ms. Margarita Patricia Valdes, and Mr. Daniel Lott, a social media influencer who has previously visited the Philippines and talked about his travels around the country. Ms. Valdes gave a detailed background of Philippine fruits and their health benefits.

Philippine Embassy in Germany Chargé d’affaires Lillibeth V. Pono, in her welcome remarks, expressed that the evening’s experience of the Philippines – through the “senses” (hearing stories/seeing images of the Philippines and tasting Philippine-inspired drinks) – should be able to convince and inspire everyone to visit and spread the word about the country.

A total of three exclusive events will take place in November in Hamburg, Munich, and Düsseldorf under the name “Philippine Fruit Festival”.
