METRO MANILA – With the presentation of a new product, the Adlai Paella Kit, Mama Sita’s promoted healthy eating at the latest agricultural events held during the last week of August. Adlai or pearl barley is a gluten-free alternative to rice. It is a filling grain that has a chewy and firm bite, similar to grains of white corn when cooked.

On August 24 to 26, Mama Sita’s was at Central Square, Bonifacio Global City for the Philippine Harvest, a three-day food and travel fair organized by the Department of Tourism. Along with more than 40 exhibitors taking part in the event which promoted the country’s rich farm and food tourism, Mama Sita’s treated visitors to a taste of Adlai Paella, along with a presentation of other specially packed products like the Heirloom Rice Champorado Kits and the Vinegar Sampler Kits.

The Department of Agriculture, on the other hand, invited Mama Sita’s to the 14th Agriculture and Fisheries Technology Forum and Product Exhibition held at SM Megamall Mega Trade Hall 2 on August 30 to September 2. As the event was a venue to feature agricultural technologies and food innovation, Mama Sita’s served Adlai paella, which enticed stakeholders such as people from different government agencies, research institutions, Local Government Units, students, and the private sector with a healthy and delicious snack.

Mama Sita’s Adlai Paella Kit is part of Mama Sita’s line of small-batch, artisanal products that are meant to bring something more special to the table. Mama Sita’s is committed to finding ways to make the flavors of our heritage more accessible to all Filipinos here and abroad.
