K-Beauty enters Philippine market through Duty Free Philippines

Manila, Philippines – Following the K-pop boom and popularity of Korean style makeup trend and skincare products, top K-Beauty and Korean cosmetics are entering Duty Free Philippines (DFP) to target their growing market in the Philippines.

According to Chief Operating Officer (COO) Vicente Pelagio A. Angala, DFP has collaborated with 31 brands to stock more K-Beauty products at DFP stores. 

“To date, we have about 31 K-Beauty brands, two of which are DFP exclusives,” said Angala.

These exclusive brands include Dr. Jart and Sulwhasoo.

DFP has recently opened K-Beauty Studio and Global Trends area in its flagship store, the Fiestamall in Parañaque City and Sulwhasoo at Luxe Duty Free inside Mall of Asia Complex to specifically highlight Korean brands.

“While some of these 31 brands are available in the Philippine market, we provide the cheaper price from 10 to 20 percent lower compared to the local market,” he added.

K-Beauty brands at DFP include Missha, Laneige, Leaders, A.by Bom, Wellderma, Bano, Koco Star, It’s Skin, Holika, Too Cool For School, Pony Effect, Berrisom, Velyvely, G9, Skin Papa Recipe, Jayjun, SNP, Clio, Peripera, April Skin, Benton, Cloud9, Cosrx, DLA, Guerisson,  Medi Heal, Normal Nomore, Purederm, and Victoria Korea.


K-Beauty refers to skin-care products that derive from South Korea with an emphasis on natural ingredients, nourishing formulas, and whimsical packaging.

“DFP always prides itself in thriving to adapt to new trends and specific customer needs,” said Angala.
