Philippine Embassy in Damascus discusses COVID-19

Damascus — In order to provide correct information to the Filipino community and in line with the Philippine Embassy in Damascus’ health and wellness program for the year 2020, the Embassy conducted a seminar on the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19) on 08 March 2020 at the Philippine Embassy Chancery.

The COVID-19 seminar was conducted by Dr. Bayan Al Amine, MD., a licensed medical doctor.

Dr. Al Amine briefed the attendees on the importance of correct information on COVID-19, as well as on the means of preventing the spread of the virus.

A total of 50 participants composed of the Philippine Embassy personnel, members of the Filipino community and wards of the FWRC, attended the event.

After the lecture, Dr. Al Amine fielded questions on COVID-19, which enlightened the participants regarding their concerns about COVID-19 and other health issues.
