Duty Free Fiestamall hosts International Day of the Seafarers on June 30

Manila, Philippines – Families of seafarers from different part of the Philippines will gather at Duty Free Philippines (DFP) Fiestamall in Parañaque City on June 30 as a fitting tribute to the maritime community.

Taking center stage at this year’s celebration are the seafarers’ wives illustrated in the event’s theme, “Home is where my anchor drops”.

DFP partnered with CF Sharp, one of the countries major manning agencies, in organizing seminars and trainings geared towards self-improvement that will benefit the seafarers’ wives and their families.

DFP Chief Operating Officer (COO), Vicente Pelagio A. Angala, said the event is a way of recognizing the growing support of Filipino seafarers to DFP.

“We will always value the contribution of Filipino seafarers to our country, especially to Duty Free Philippines where Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) remain as our top market,” said DFP Chief Operating Officer (COO) Vicente Pelagio A. Angala.

Rita Dayrit, a Certified Image & Etiquette Consultant, will give lecture on table setting etiquette and presentation. Rita is trained and certified by the best Image Professionals such as Karen Brunger of the International Image Institute, Toronto, Jacqueline Whitmore of the Protocol School of Palm Beach, Florida and Lisa Richey of the American Academy of Etiquette.
