Philippines Construction Sector meets Emirati Counterparts in Dubai, UAE

Dubai, UAE – Following the Philippines – United Arab Emirates High Level Construction and Related Engineering Services Roundtable Meeting on 10 February 2022, Philippine construction delegation proceeded the official business meetings with several Emirati companies – Dubai Municipality, Emaar Group, and Nakheel Group during the next several days.

On 10 February 2022, the construction delegation met with Mr. Ahmed Al Falasi – Executive Director of Business Development of Dubai Municipality, one of the largest government institutions in the UAE and is considered as Dubai’s leading growth and development institutions in terms of its smart projects and services. The group met at The Dubai Frame, considered as the largest (picture) frame in the world standing at 150 meters which showcases spectacular view of both ‘Old’ and ‘New’ Dubai located in Zabeel Park, Dubai.

The delegates also met with Emaar Group, one of the world’s most valuable real estate development companies known for their passion in developing sustainable communities represented by one of its Operations Manager, Ms. Dana Sweidan at the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest free-standing structure with a height of 828 meters, 160 storeys, which also holds the tallest service elevator in the world.

The construction delegation capped off business meetings in the Middle East ON 12 February 2022 with Nakheel Group, one of Dubai’s world – leading master developer of innovative landmark projects and residential communities in the Middle East represented by Nakheel’s Senior Manager for Operations, Mr. Sayed Ali Rezk at The View at The Palm. This structure offers a 360-degree views of Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and beyond from an outdoor terrace and premium lounge.

The business meetings co-organized by the Philippine Overseas Construction Board with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Dubai aim to pursue Philippines’ continuous effort in vitalizing business relationships with Emirati companies in the Middle East.

The last construction business mission to the Middle East was in 2005.
