The Philippine Trade Investment Center – Hong Kong (PTIC-HK) successfully launched online the first episode of its “Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan (TNK) 2020” webinar series, entitled “Presentation about the Personal Equity and Retirement Account (PERA) on 18 October 2020, via Zoom App.

The webinar aimed to provide an informative discussion on the importance of having long-term fiscal sustainability and wealth management tools available for the Overseas Filipino Investors (OFIs) in Hong Kong through various PERA products.  It featured resource speakers such as Director and Head of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)’s PERA Technical Working Group Mr. Jose Recon S. Tano and accredited ERA Administrators Ms. Suzette T. Bumanglang, Ms. Marissa Arce Romero and Mr. Deanno Basas.  The Consulate’s Trade and Commercial Attaché Roberto Mabalot Jr. principally organized and moderated the webinar.

Consul General Raly L. Tejada, in his special message to the 557 OFIs who virtually attended the webinar, stressed the importance of saving money and highly encouraged the OFI’s to set aside funds in preparation for their future.

The first in the series, “TNK 2020” is a joint initiative project of the Philippine Consulate and the PTIC in Hong Kong to promote financial literacy and provide a timely online learning platform for the Overseas Filipinos to gain knowledge on financial investments through other possible active and passive income sources.
