Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar Holds Annual Flores de Mayo, Celebrating Filipino Faith, Fashion, and Heritage

Bagac, Bataan – Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar once again became the heart of cultural celebration last May 24, 2025 with Los Colores De Las Rosas En Las Casas: Flores de Mayo and Fashion Gala 2025. This annual spectacle wove together faith, fashion, and Filipino heritage in a stunning tribute to tradition and creativity.

The evening began with the much-anticipated Parade of the Sagalas, a magnificent procession that journeyed from the Sanctuario de San Jose through the cobbled streets of the heritage resort. Each sagala, radiant in her hand-crafted gown, embodied the grace and spirit of the Filipino identity—becoming a living canvas for local craftsmanship, devotion, and artistry.

As the sun set behind the storied ancestral homes of Las Casas, the venue transformed into a breathtaking outdoor fashion stage. Guests dined under the stars, enjoying a sumptuous dinner buffet in an atmosphere of elegance and anticipation.

The highlight of the evening was the fashion show gala, featuring the imaginative works of Designers Circle Philippines brought to life on the runway by the finalists of Catwalk Philippines 2025. Each look told a unique story—bold silhouettes, intricate embroidery, and modern takes on traditional attire reflected the richness and diversity of Filipino design. From reimagined terno sleeves to avant-garde renditions of the baro’t saya, every piece celebrated the fusion of heritage and innovation.

The presence of Las Casas President Michael Erwin Pineda and Acting General Manager Anne Orosco underscored the vision behind the event. Together with the whole team, their commitment continues to guide Las Casas as a living museum—where culture is not only preserved, but celebrated in dynamic, inclusive ways.

Las Casas extends its heartfelt gratitude to its partners, guests, and collaborators for their unwavering support. This year’s Flores de Mayo serves as a reminder of the enduring beauty of Filipino traditions and the powerful stories they continue to tell.
