PH Ambassador Welcomes New Filipino Students from Australian National University

CANBERRA 28 January 2019 – Ambassador to Australia Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega welcomed seven newly arrived Filipino students undertaking studies for their masteral and doctorate degrees at the Australian National University (ANU) on 16 January 2019.

The courtesy call was arranged by the ANU Filipino Student Association (ANUFA). The students are in the fields of International and Development Economic, Political and Social Change, Social Research and Public Policy.

Ambassador De La Vega shared that education cooperation is among the priority areas in the Philippines Australia Comprehensive Partnership. She encouraged the participation of Filipino students in working towards the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2021.
