Flag carrier builds up Clark hub and pursues continuing expansion
Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) pursues the expansion of its domestic network out of Central Luzon by restarting flights today (03 December 2024) between Clark and Siargao.
PAL, together with Clark LIPAD (Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation), the Department of Tourism Region 3 and various aviation stakeholder groups, celebrated the inaugural service, PR 2875, with a cake-cutting ceremony and water cannon salute at Clark International Airport.
“We are proud of this returning service. Our thrice weekly service will provide ease and convenience for residents and tourists in Central and Northern Luzon since there is no need for land travel to Metro Manila to connect to Siargao. Residents of the island will be able to explore other parts of the country via our flights out of Clark,” said PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang.
The PALEX Chief said, “We appreciate the collaboration of all stakeholders for their tireless efforts in working towards the return of this flight service to the beautiful island of Siargao. Our sincerest gratitude to CLARK LIPAD, CDC, CIAC, CAAP, the Department of Tourism, and all other tourism agencies. PAL’s 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8 aircraft is given a water salute as it departed from Clark International Airport for Siargao.

PAL operates its thrice weekly flights between Clark and Siargao utilizing its 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft. The carrier’s trademark Filipino heartfelt service promises to delight passengers throughout their journey.
The thrice weekly service operates via PR 2875 Clark-Siargao every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday departing Clark at 11:00 AM, arriving in Siargao at 01:05 PM, and PR 2876 Siargao-Clark every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday departing Siargao at 01:35 PM, arriving in Clark at 03:40 PM.
Siargao rejoins the flag carrier’s progressive hub at Clark International Airport, where PAL operates daily flights to Cebu, four weekly flights each to Basco and Busuanga (Coron), and thrice weekly flights to Boracay (Caticlan). The service complements PAL’s existing twice daily flights to Siargao from Manila and Cebu, for a total PAL service of 31 weekly flights to Siargao.
