DTI partners with the Ortigas Group and Megaworld for the Grand Bagsakan

The Department of Trade and Industry – Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (DTI -BDTP), DTI – Region 2, and Mayani.ph have partnered with the Ortigas Malls and Megaworld Lifestyle Malls to hold the Grand Bagsakan. It will happen simultaneously on 14 May 2021 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in three Ortigas Malls, namely:

  • Estancia (Road Lot Parking at the back of SM Store);
  • Greenhills (GSTRIP Parking); and
  • Tiendesitas (Open Parking in front of Building A Facing Central Drive)

On the same day, the Grand Bagsakan will open earlier, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Uptown Parade in Uptown Bonifacio, Taguig City. Pre-order at https://cutt.ly/BAGSAKAN until 12 May 2021, 12 noon and receive a kilo of tomatoes when you pay via GCash.

The Grand Bagsakan at Uptown Parade will also feature mangoes from Bataan and some micro, small and medium enterprises from NCR and Regions 3 and 4A. The Bataan Mango Growers Agriculture Cooperative will be selling their kinalabaw mangoes. Aside from walk-in purchases, pre-orders are also accepted through its representative, Aurora S. Dimalanta, with mobile number: 0927 005 5797 or 0909 809 4476, via bank transfer or cash.

Other sellers from Region 3 are Gracielo’s Cashew Nuts—offering different cashew-based pastries; Terio’s Food Products—selling garlic chips, peanuts, and various cornick variants; and Ruthy’s Food Products and their line of flavoured cassava chips.

DTI – Region 4A has partnered with Cocoplus Aquarian Development Corporation to bring various products such as coconut sugar, virgin coconut oil, and soaps, among others. Jhaz Footwear from Liliw, Laguna, will be selling their wedges, shoes, and slippers made from jute, canvass, and abaca.

From NCR, Diana Stalder by Dermaline with showcase a wide array of skin care products; Pangalatok’s Enterprises will bring Alaminos Longganisa, tapa, and different preparations of bangus; and Moonlight Handicrafts, an enterprise that customizes different crafts for gifts or company giveaways, will be selling ready-made products such as face masks and bags made from hapsack, buri, and canvass.

The DTI-BDTP Bagsakan events aim provide consumers with fresh fruits and vegetables at low prices, and support farmers by making their produce accessible in more places in the metro.
