Midas Hotel and Casino officially welcomes the Christmas season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony with the theme “A Beary Midas Christmas.” As guests enter the hotel lobby adorned by its surprisingly unique interiors, they are greeted by the smiles of teddy bears of different shapes and sizes and the feel of rustic-themed Christmas decors, including the main highlight of the ceremony — the “Beary Midas Christmas Tree”.

The Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony was led by Midas Hotel and Casino General Manager Ms. Lily Adrid, SOS Children’s Villages Philippines National Director Ms. Gemma Goliat, Manila House General Manager Jose Arcilla and Global News Network Director Benedict Abaygar Jr.

In line with the theme apt for children, A Beary Midas Christmas, the hotel chose to partner with SOS Children’s Villages Philippines to support its community of families. SOS Children’s Villages Philippines is a home for abandoned, neglected and orphaned children, providing love and care that is usually present in a family-like environment. The organization nurtures its community, most especially its children’s holistic growth and development.

“Together with SOS Children’s Villages Philippines, we believe that no child should grow up alone and that every one of us has a potential to be great so we can be able to help others as well. Midas Christmas is all about sharing and giving to others what we have so they too can flourish.” Ms. Adrid said. As a drive to raise funds for the benefit of the SOS Children’s Village community, every PHP100 from every room booked under the hotel room promo It’s a Beary Midas Christmas will proceed to the organization. The hotel will also put an SOS Bahay Donation Box in the hotel’s reception area to share this wonderful experience of our advocacy with the Midas Hotel guests and patrons.

This advocacy will also form part of the hotel’s “Midas Cares” program, an internal Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of the hotel that promotes caring for others more than the tangible gifts or material things. Through Midas Cares, Midas employees are given opportunities to join this outreach program to different institutions and make “giving” more valuable and meaningful to the people it seeks to serve.

Apart from the majestic 18-foot Christmas tree, guests can enjoy viewing the Midas Christmas Village spruced up with gingerbread houses and cute teddy bears. A Christmas sleigh packed with sweet Yuletide treats and holiday gifts will also add excitement to Midas Hotel guests and patrons during the Christmas season.
