MANILA, Philippines, 18 September 2018 – Hotel Jen Manila, in coordination with the Local Government Unit, initiated the school renovation of Maytubig Day Care Center during the annual celebration of Housekeeping Week last 11 September 2018.
The local community of Maytubig, situated at Barangay 1, Zone 1 Pasay City, has approximately 250 underprivileged families – 31 of which are students divided into morning and afternoon classes. The renovation started in mid-August in time for the school opening on September. The makeover included repainting of walls, installation of wall art and air conditioner, provision of new tables and chairs, white board, and teacher’s aide materials.
Several Hotel Jen Manila colleagues volunteered, headed by hotel manager Frencie Duadua, and barangay captain Daniel Asuncion. It was indeed a fulfilling afternoon with the distribution of school supplies and feeding program to the kids.
