More than 340 participants from the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries interested in pursuing an LL.M. (Master of Laws) degree attended EducationUSA Philippines’ LL.M. university fair on July 17 and 24.
The two-part LL.M. event kicked off on July 17 with a webinar in which seasoned U.S. law school administrators from the University of Nevada – Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law and the University of Michigan Law School discussed the difference between general and specialized LL.M. programs, strategies in building a robust law school application, and the benefits of having an LL.M. degree from a U.S. law school.
On July 24, EducationUSA Philippines hosted a virtual fair with at least 24 U.S. law schools, which provided real-time admissions advice, industry insights, and in-person and online program options to fair participants.
During the event, participants also had the opportunity to visit the individual virtual booths of each law school, as well as that of Fulbright Philippines, the oldest continuously-operating Fulbright Commission in the world, which administers the flagship U.S. foreign exchange scholarship programs in the Philippines. EducationUSA Philippines teamed up with the Legal Education Board and the Philippine Commission on Higher Education to invite the Philippine law community to this back-to-back event.
