The Sinopharm vaccine, administered in two doses 21 days apart, was declared by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) as 86% effective in early December 2020.

On 23 December 2020, Dubai also announced the free rollout of Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine being administered by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in addition to the free Sinopharm vaccine rollout throughout UAE starting 09 December 2020.

Ambassador Quintana urged all Filipinos in the UAE to remain vigilant and diligent in taking COVID-19 precautions such as proper hand washing and social distancing and continue to support the measures and efforts of the host country in curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
