ABU DHABI 18 October 2018 – Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Hjayceelyn M. Quintana welcomed the announcement that the Philippines is included in the countries to be visited by New York University-Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) students next year as part of their study trip and January-Term (J-Term) programs.
The announcement was made during the Global Education presentation and campus tour organized and conducted by NYUAD Office of Global Education on 04 October 2018.
NYU Abu Dhabi is one of NYU’s degree-granting campuses, the others being NYU in New York and NYU in Shanghai. The first of its kind, this global university represents a transformative shift in higher education, one in which the intellectual and creative endeavor of academia are shaped and examined through an international and multicultural perspective.
Ambassador Quintana wishes to encourage more Filipino students from the Philippines to apply for scholarship or grant options offered by NYUAD. There are 23 Filipino undergraduates studying at NYUAD, including Ms. Dominique Joaquin and Ms. Louise Gerodias who toured Ambassador Quintana around the campus.
