PH Embassy in The Hague Welcomes ‘One Young World’ Ambassadors

THE HAGUE 31 October 2018 — Ambassador to The Hague Jaime Victor B. Ledda welcomed Michael dela Peña and Emmanuele Marie Parra, two of the seven Philippine delegates to the One Young World (OYW) Summit from 17 to 20 October in The Hague, the Netherlands.

During the call, Ambassador Ledda cited the important and decisive roles that the youth and young leaders have in the many challenges and opportunities that exist in the world, to help build a better world.

The two young leaders informed Ambassador Ledda about their plans to expand its network in the ASEAN region by holding a national caucus in the Philippines next year, citing that this year marks the biggest number of Filipino youth participants at the OYW since it began a decade ago.

The Philippine delegates join other young leaders from 196 countries in the Summit that brought together the most valuable young talent from global and national companies, non-government organizations, universities and other forward-thinking organizations.

One Young World works with a wide network of partners and supporters to ensure that the brightest young leaders from around the world are able to participate in the annual Summit.
