The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) added an additional 299 seafarers from the ship MV Azura to the increasing number of repatriated Filipinos since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The British Airways flight that brought the repatriates home landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 at around 12:07 p.m.

The 299 Filipino seafarers underwent the appropriate medical protocols upon arrival as required by the Department of Health (DOH). They would also be required to undergo quarantine procedures in accordance with the Omnibus Guidelines established by the Interagency Task Force (IATF).
