Philippines promoted as ideal business destination in 2nd PH-Singapore Business, Investment Summit

The Philippine Embassy in Singapore and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) hosted the 2nd virtual Philippines-Singapore Business and Investment Summit (PSBIS) on 26 March 2021, promoting the Philippines as “an ideal business destination for business and investment due to its strong and resilient macroeconomic fundamentals” amidst the pandemic.

The Summit featured Philippine economic team managers, namely Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Benjamin E. Diokno, Secretary of Finance Carlos G. Dominguez III, and Secretary of Trade and Industry Ramon M. Lopez, who gave updates on the current economic climate in the Philippines, the economic stimulus measures and incentives implemented by the Philippine government to fast-track the recovery of the local economy; as well insights on investment opportunities.

The investment forum was attended by almost 400 Singapore-based business leaders representing enterprises, manufacturing companies, multinational corporations, business organizations, MSMEs, chambers of commerce and members of the diplomatic corps.
