Filipino talent was on prominent display over the weekend of 05 to 07 October 2018 at the Victoria Concert Hall, as the Singapore Symphony Orchestra celebrated its Baroque Festival featuring two extraordinary Filipino musical talents Eudenice Palaruan and Stefanie Quintin. Mr. Palaruan, a noted choral conductor and composer as well as the current choral director of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, and Ms. Quintin, a renowned soprano who had previously performed as the principal musical performer for the Philippine Embassy in Singapore’s 2015 Independence Day celebrations, gave several standout performances during the three-day event, covering the works of renowned baroque composers Henry Purcell and George Frideric Handel.
