President Duterte meets with envoys of Russia and Israel

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with the ambassadors of Russia and Israel in Malacañan Palace on Thursday, January 31.

President Duterte first received Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Igor Khovaev in a courtesy call in the Music Room, accompanied by First Secretaries Dennis Abrashin and Dmitry Larionov.

The Cabinet secretaries present were Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, and National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr.

Also present were DFA-Office of European Affairs (OEA) Executive Director Elizabeth Te and Director Adrian Elmer Cruz.

The Chief Executive also met with Ambassador of Israel to the Philippines Rafael Harpaz, who also paid a courtesy call in the Study Room.

Ambassador Harpaz was joined in the meeting by Israel Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Yulia Rachinsky-Spivakov.

The Cabinet secretaries were also present during the courtesy call together with DFA-Office of Middle East and African Affairs Assistant Secretary Leslie Baja.
