OTOP Hub Opens in Zamboanga

The Department of Trade and Industry Regional Office IX launched the OTOP Philippine Hub at the KCCC Mall de Zamboanga. Known as the City of Flowers and is now one of the most important and busiest port cities in the Philippines. DTI Zamboanga aims to to provide a venue for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to showcase their products.

OTOP Philippines is a priority stimulus program for MSMEs, as a government’s customized intervention to drive inclusive local economic growth.

The program enables localities and communities to determine, develop, support, and promote their best and culturally-rooted products or services.

The launch was attended by Madam Honeylet Avancena, Undersecretary Zenaida Maglaya, Assistant Secretary Demphna Du-naga, Regional Director Sitti Amina M. Jain Ph.D., Mr. Chan Sui Lam Owner of KCC Mall, Ms. Mary Ann Eustaquio Operator of ZC KMME Mentee President.

“OTOP Philippines Hub focuses on the MSMEs and their products that have not yet or are not able to enter the mainstream market. We aim to give our local MSME’s a place wherein they can earn,” said DTI Assistant Secretary Demphna Du-Naga, program-in-charge.
