State of Victoria Launches its Southeast Asia Trade, Investment Strategy

MELBOURNE 20 September 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Canberra participated in the launch of the State of Victoria’s Southeast Asia Trade and Investment Strategy in Melbourne, Australia on 11-12 September 2018.

Charge d’Affaires, a.i. Jim San Agustin, together with representatives from Singapore, Timor Leste, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia, called on Victorian government officials including Victoria Governor Linda Dessau and Trade and Investment Minister Philip Dalidakis, to discuss Victoria’s vision of deepening economic relations with the vibrant Southeast Asian region.

The group also visited the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct showcasing Victoria’s excellence in healthcare provision, and the Victorian Innovation Hub highlighting Melbourne’s strong track record as a world leader in startup ecosystem growth.
