DOHA 22 October 2018 — To allow Filipinos in Qatar vote in the upcoming elections, the Philippine Embassy in Doha conducted Overseas Voting Registration (OVR) weekend services at the Embassy during the last Fridays of September.
A total of 988 applicants registered during the previous weekend services.
With the increased registration turnout, the weekend OVR services achieved its goal of providing an opportunity to all qualified Filipinos in Qatar to register or re-activate their record as absentee voters.
The registration period began on 01 December 2016 and was completed on 30 September 2018.
