PH Embassy in Moscow Promotes PH Exports, Tourism

MOSCOW 13 September 2018 – The Philippines, along with other countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), participated in the three-day Indonesian Festival at the Krasnaya Presnya Park in Moscow from 03 to 05 August 2018.

Showcased were top Philippine export products such as dried mangoes, mango juice and jam, banana chips, coconut flour, coconut sugar, coconut jam, canned tuna, coffee, and chocolates, as well as accessories.

“We wish to thank the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow for providing space for ASEAN countries at the Indonesian Festival. We were able to share with the people of Moscow information about our many and beautiful tourist destinations, our colorful fabrics and dress, and our world class handicraft and food products,” Philippine Ambassador to Russia Carlos D. Sorreta said.

Potential importers expressed interest to collaborate with Philippine companies to bring in products to the Russian market.

Philippine tourist destinations—Bohol, Boracay, Cebu, Mindoro, Negros, and Palawan, among others—were also promoted. A number of visitors expressed excitement for Boracay’s post-rehabilitation opening this October.

Other ASEAN diplomatic missions in Moscow such as the Embassies of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Vietnam also took part in the festival.
