Over 600 more overseas Filipinos return home from the United Arab Emirates

Repatriation efforts of the Philippines continued on June 30 with a total of 648 Overseas Filipinos onboard two special commercial flights from Dubai were met by officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at the NAIA and CRK International Airports.

These flights were made possible in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates’ government, the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.

Representatives of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Department of Health, Bureau of Quarantine, Philippine Coast Guard, Department of Tourism, Manila International Airport Authority, and Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corporation joined in welcoming the repatriates.

All 648 Filipinos underwent the appropriate airport medical protocols and will undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine as required by DOH-BOQ.
