Despite the global pandemic brought on by COVID-19, there are still a handful of countries around the World that have remained unscathed and thus far managed to escape getting caught by the virus.
After first emerging in Wuhan, China late last year in 2019, the virus that is widely projected by the medical and scientific community to hit 1 million people worldwide, there are still 15 countries remaining that have no confirmed cases thus far perhaps in large part to their isolation and general remoteness in terms of connectivity to the global travel market. These countries are:
In Africa:
1) Lesotho
2) South Sudan
3) Yemen
4) Sierra Leone
5) Malawi
6) Western Sahara
In Asia:
7) Turkmenistan
8) Tajikistan
9) North Korea
There are also some Pacific Island Nations—generally those moderately popular tourist destinations under normal pretences which are reportedly still untouched by the virus as well:
10) Tonga
11) Samoa
12) Vanuatu
13) The Cook Islands
14) Niue
15) Tuvalu
