CITY OF LAS PIÑAS—President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the inauguration Thursday of the Vista Group of Companies’ the Tent at Vista Global South, the biggest tent venue in the south of Metro Manila.
The inauguration of the newest facility at C5 Extension Road coincided with the birthday celebration of former Senate president Manny Villar.
In his message, the President praised the former senator for his feats in business and in public service. Villar served as a member of the House of Representatives and the Senate for more than two decades.
“While Manny now focuses on managing his companies, the public will forever be grateful for his legacy of whole-hearted public service,” the President said.
“I am pleased that this one legacy lives on through his children. On this note I wish to congratulate the Villar family for the inauguration of the Tent Vista Global South, the biggest tent venue in the south of Metro Manila.”
Away from traffic-congested areas in Metro Manila, the Tent with a capacity of up to 5,000, is the newest venue for personal or corporate events.
The 3,800 sq.m. space is fully airconditioned and features a guest lounge and an area for event suppliers.
The Tent at Vista Global South offers spacious parking space and proximity to notable landmarks such as Vista Mall Global South, Mella Hotel and Sanctuario de San Ezekiel Moreno.
The new facility is 10 minutes away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and is accessible via the NAIAX and Cavitex from the north as well as Alabang Zapote Road and Bacoor Boulevard from the south.
Among the members of the Villar family present during the event were Sen. Cynthia Villar, Vista Land CEO Paolo Villar, Public Works and Highways Sec. Mark Villar and Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar.
Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go was also in attendance.
