Canberra, Australia — Two Filipina entrepreneurs were selected by the Export Council of Australia, in partnership with the Australia Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, to participate in the “Australia Awards: Women Trading Globally” program.
Rosarios Delicacies owner Mary Grace Belviz and Anthill Fabric Gallery co-founder Anya Lim were chosen from almost 200 applicants across Southeast Asia to travel to Australia for a two week training in Brisbane and Sydney on export strategy, digital marketing and international business plan.
As successful entrepreneurs who are moving into exports, Misses Belviz and Lim join 13 other women entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia in the program.
Representing Philippine Ambassador to Australia Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega, Philippine Honorary Consul General in Brisbane Margaret Grummitt met the Filipina entrepreneurs at a reception hosted by the Export Council of Australian on May 30, 2019 in Brisbane.
Ambassador De La Vega said, “Mary Grace and Anya run successful enterprises that use local Philippine talent and content. I am pleased that they are taking the big leap towards exporting and have this opportunity to learn from Australia, a successful exporting country.”
